THE HELEN WOODHULL COLLECTION is sold exclusively through James Robinson, Inc.
A former designer for Danish jeweler Georg Jensen, Woodhull began her career in the early-Sixties designing one-of-a-kind pieces. Her first store, Leogryph, sold mainly antiques and was located on Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
In 1968, Woodhull decided to close the shop and focus on her work for Jensen. She left the company in 1974 and went on to design for high-end retailers, including Gump’s in San Francisco, Peacock’s in Chicago and Caldwell’s in Philadelphia.
During the late-Seventies, she opened an atelier on Madison Avenue and moved it to Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in 1988 before closing in 1994.
For the last two decades, Woodhull’s work has been carried exclusively by James Robinson Inc. Joan Boening, president, oversees the collection and continue to reproduce Woodhull’s existing designs.
